Why Join TGX?
he Great Exchange Network exists because we believe churches are stronger together. From the earliest days of the church, gospel partnerships have been central to God’s mission (Phil. 1:3–5). TGX continues in that pattern—uniting churches with shared doctrine, relational trust, and missional urgency.
By joining, your church steps into:
- Relational benefits: Friendships with like-minded pastors who walk together in encouragement, accountability, and prayer.
- Missional benefits: A family of churches committed to strengthening one another, developing leaders, planting and replanting, and multiplying gospel witness in our region.
We’re not a denomination or a hierarchy—we’re a family of churches joyfully collaborating for Christ’s glory and the good of his people.
Levels of Partnership
Not every church connects in the same way. TGX offers three levels of partnership, each vital to the mission:
Partner Churches
The backbone of TGX. These churches fully embody our DNA and lead the way in training, planting, and collaboration.
Participating Churches
Churches growing in health and alignment. They benefit from TGX coaching, resources, and relationships as they move toward deeper partnership.
Project Churches
New church plants and replants launched through TGX collaboration. They are supported by prayer, generosity, and shared investment from the network family.
How it Works
Gospel partnership grows best in the soil of relationship and proven faithfulness. As Participating Churches grow in health and alignment with TGX, they may be invited to step into full partnership.
Referral Through Relationship
When a Participating Church shows spiritual vitality, theological clarity, and alignment with TGX, a Partner Church may recommend them for partnership at a quarterly gathering
Ministry Assessment
Leaders from Partner Churches walk with the referred church to confirm alignment with TGX’s doctrine, traits, mission, and vision. This isn’t gatekeeping—it’s shepherding, affirming what God is already doing
Invitation to Join
After prayerful confirmation, Partner Churches extend an invitation. With a congregational vote of affirmation, the church becomes a full Partner Church—sharing in leadership, responsibility, and mission
FAQ
Churches begin in relationship. As trust grows, TGX looks for alignment with our Family Doctrine, Traits, Mission, Vision, and Strategy. Congregational affirmation is part of full partnership
Yes. TGX churches affirm the TGX Family Doctrine, which reflects historic, biblical convictions about God, Scripture, salvation, the church, and the gospel mission.

Funds support leader training, coaching, church plants and replants, and the annual TGX Conference. Every dollar is aimed at making more and better churches across the heartland.
